Actually I have 4 different bibles. I hate and love each of them differently. There are tons and tons of different translations of the bible and when you go to the bookstore to buy one you have to be careful. So how do you know if you have a "good" bible? How do you know if the bible has a good translation? Or do you even care about the translation? These are questions for yall over the weekend. I know the answers to them, and I know how to pick a good bible from the rest based on my own "scholarly" knowledge of how bibles work, and the various translations. What bible do you use? and why?
Just thought I would through those questions at the world, I will post my opinion on Sunday or Monday. Hope everyone has a good weekend.
The Good News one is easy to read, but the "today" style language is sometimes funny. For example, that too-familiar verse from Leviticus reads: "No man is to have sexual relations with another man; God hates that." heehee
I like a bible that has lots of information about dates, authors, translations etc...
